I don't really have that much more to say sorry.... I've sorta exhausted all the available talking points last post, so, I'll just talk about like 3 characters and be done.
CARIEL (& ASGORUDY)
That Chapter 4 line.... It's awesome. I love the fact that Cariel & Asgorudy probably all went to college together, just imagining them all in the 90s vibing together makes me feel fuzzy. Look at this!!! They're so cool. I love yuri. I love Rudy. Asgore is there I guess. (Just kidding!!!! I like his character and I believe he can change but yeah he's a total creep to Toriel.) Also read my fic please ::;3 Anyway yeah Toriel is literally me and I think she's either futch or femme. I honestly don't know. Carol is 100% butch though you can fight me over that. They r so pretty actually I lwk need them both. To be or to kiss.... But yeah I love Cariel so much. I wanna write them someday. They made me Futch btw. Urghhh I just can't explain it. ::;(

Queerplatonic Soriel. *Drops microphone dramatically*. Like, it's honestly so perfect to me. In UT, they were so close to each other, with the promise and the epilogue phone calls and all, like, they were so besties. I see Sans as aroace, and Toriel as arospec; their relationship just feels so "more than friends" to me. Kinda like Krusie! Their phone call series is so silly and the jitterbug.... Their dynamic so precious to me. I love them so much. The Sans hate and Toriel hate sucks!! They're flawed people who just made a mistake at a bad time. (say that again?) Asgore deserves like 50% of his hate though. I don't believe the game will have Asgore take revenge against Sans or whatever, I hope it'll be like, a wake-up call for him. To get his shit together. But eh. What do I know!

HOLLOW KNIGHT & SILKSONG
So, Silksong's release date got announced!!! After 6 years!!! Kind of crazy, right? Around the end of July, I'd started watching Skurry again, and just played every single Hollow Knight Randomizer video, and it was really comforting. I think I'd been watching them since around.... 2021, maybe? They're a fun creator! And their voice helps me calm down. And on the 21st, they announced Silksong was releasing on the 4th.... I replayed Hollow Knight again just to refresh my mind, and oh my God was it awesome. I got 112%, all Hunter's Journal entries, and even the Pantheon of Hallownest (gave Godseeker the flower....). It was so fun!!! Despite me crashing out a little bit along the way.... But yeah! Grimm is cute, I love Hornet and she's literally me, the sibling relationship between Hornet, HK, and The Knight makes me really sad but also kinda happy, I just love this game!! And I have been loving it since September of 2020. And now I get to fall in love with the follow-up!!! Also oh my God. Lacenet is so fucking good. PLEASE go through the #lacenet tag on twitter/tumblr/whatever. I implore you. Not even adding a hyperlink here.
HOMESTUCK
OH MY GOD. So, on August 11th, 19:56 local time, I started reading Homestuck, inspired by the recent Vivziepop Homestuck show announcement. And it was so so so good dude. I became hooked as soon as Act 1 ended, even though most people say it's the slowest and kind of a slog to get through. Sburban Jungle is such a banger, NANNASPRITE's explanation of The Incipisphere and war, and ACT 2'S ENDING. The music, the choreography (is that the right word?), that fuckass 413, it's just so good. It's so loreful and has so much happening while still being perfectly understandable. John is a fun guy!!! I like his dynamic with the rest of the beta kids, and NANNASPRITE too. And Rose! I love her psychoanalysis interest, her magician qualities and love for wizards, and of course, her back and forth with MOM. That was like the funniest shit ever I think. Dave is cool! His raps are really silly. More on him later! Jade.... She's genuinely so me. Her weird mysterious foreshadowing and prophetic dreams are so interesting to me, and how she handles all that is so awesome. I love her!
Act 3.... Sburban Jungle again!!! Rose being in imminent danger, Dave getting her the hell out of there (not very efficiently, mind you....), Jade finding that fuckass 413 TIME BULB (later it's revealed that AR? originally set it off AFTER this, but it was sent hundreds of millions of years into the past, which is so damn cool), Rose taking initiative after Dave gets harassed by crows, being saved by JASPERSPRITE, finally breaking that and being sent to The Medium, John fucking up some Imps and descending to the bottom of his planet, and NANNASPRITE inscribing the note to John and throwing it down, allowing Jade's GRANDPA to get it. For reasons we're getting into later!! Anyway, yeah, it was so good. But. Act. 4. Holy hell. All the troll stuff was so funny, especially GC and CG. GC fucking around with Rose and being confused because of John's takeover of her account was so funny. GC tricking John into skipping most of Sburb and him immediately dying, and causing Jade to also (probably?) die due to not having a server player, and Dave and Rose continuing to play for four more months before Dave uses his weird turntables to go back to the past and stop John.... And Future Rose disappearing, but her dream form remains linked, allowing Present Rose to remember some of Future Rose's memories.... The DAVESPRITE was the coolest shit ever. GC drawing glasses and record symbols over random images and laughing hysterically when showing them to Dave.... I love her so much!!! All the "Dream Self" stuff from Jade and John also being there but not being awake (until....), the eclipse future visions stuff....
And the end. It's so good. Dream Cal being thrown out the window by Dream Rose, landing on BRO's hoverpad, going to random teleporter thingy on Derse, PV following him in, mucking around on BRO's hoverboard before activating the Frog Shrine, John following the pony and Jade's Grandpa (Sassacre book in hand), with (John's) DAD and (Rose's) MOM also getting there by means I forgot.... John's little ectobiology session with Karkat (CG) informing him about the nature of the game, and the Veil and the Heir/Seer/Knight/Witch stuff (Terezi (GC) also informed Rose of all this, and the paradoxical nature of the universe they reside in and also mentioned some of the Troll's roles). The shit about paradoxes is just so interesting. The fact that Dream Cal and the real Cal are one and the same, Sassacre's book being 13 years old but looking like an old family heirloom (say that again?), Rose having had the cat she gifted John in all of her childhood, despite it being with Jade, and all the cloning stuff, it's just so cool. Also. The flashback to the NANNA thing was on 4/13. 413. Is this just Homestuck's 1225??? Or I guess it's the opposite. I really like GA and Tavros (AT)'s relationships with Rose and Dave. They're funny! I don't really know much about the former, but I'll talk about Tavros more soon. Jade's death was so sad :((( her letter made me cry like oh my God I'm a family dynamics lover and holy fucking shit it made me so sad. Arhghfhh. DAD and MOM and GRANDPA are so cool!! ....Let's talk about BRO. He's very much like, abusive towards Dave. All the cameras, sexual toys, beating the shit out of Dave in his strife (unlike the other guardians who had strifes that were played as a joke or showed small flaws (other than Rose's but more in the addendum)), and the "ironic" stuff is pretty bad. I do appreciate him saving Dave by slashing the meteor in half, that was cool as fuck. He also somehow fought Jack Noir and fled without being harmed by sticking his sword into a weird hole in LOHAC.
I haven't really talked about the exiles much, but they're really cool! Let's start with the Earth exiles. WV is the first one we're introduced to, and he's very fun. His mayorisms, love for soda, and him drawing the planets and moons was awesome, and his friendship with PM and AR and the White Queen (forgot her acronym so I'll just call her WQ, even though I don't know if it's correct) is precious!!! He also started that whole peace thing, though it ended in faliure. Even Jack Noir commended him for it, though, and he also kept a Queen Ring Thing for WQ. He's super cool! PM is probably my favourite. Her quest to get the present from Jade to John and landing herself in such a multitude of problems was so sad. And by the time John got it, she was covered in blood and hardened by what had happened. I feel so bad for her :((. I don't really know how I feel about AR. He's a cop, and was basically the catalyst for all of PM's trauma, but Jade did say John would get it when he needed it most, so I guess it wasn't his fault. He kept trying to shoot at WV and PM though.... But they're friends now, so, hey. He also protected John from the first stages of The Reckoning, so he's not all bad. WQ is also awesome. She forfeited her shit for PM, and is a pawesome leader. I lowkey forgot everything just now, sorry. Moving onto the Troll exiles! The Midnight Crew are fun guys, despite them all being kinda asshats. The Intermission part of Act 4 was a really enjoyable read! Just said I forgot everything, so I don't really have that much more to say. I promise I like them, though! Okay just remembered this: learning that exiled!Jack killed the Black Queen and made it easier for the Trolls to win the game was really interesting. Kinda sucks that both of them are dead now so Jack Noir is basically impossible to beat.
Act 5! I'm barely into it, about 201 pages. But I still very much enjoy it. Terezi remains my favourite, but getting a glimpse into Karkat and Tavros's lives is fun! And the new faces are really interesting. Sollux's weird dream he had before entering the medium that was caused by Aradia seems really intruiging to me. Speaking of Aradia, she's really cool. Not remembering most of who she was, and imbued with a strange power of hearing the dead. I love all the trolls and their typing quirks, they're so charming. Not to say I don't love the Beta Kids!! They're cool as well ]:) (Toriel reference btw) (also kind of a Tavros reference?) Anyway, Vriska. I've heard so much about her. About how she has fuckin' MEGALOVANIA and how some imagine Dess to be similar to her. And she definitely lives up to my expectations. That flashback to the day they played FLARP, and showing how Tavros became paralyzed, and how Vriska apparently did the same to Aradia and Terezi.... I can't wait to learn more about her. The only ones who came out safe from this were Karkat and NEPETA!!!!!!!!!!! Nepeta is the best. I love her so much. She is SO pawesome. I feel so so so so so bad that her lusus died. She doesn't deserve to feel that pain :( I feel bad for everyone else too, I guess. But Nepeta :(( She is jusr a kitty.... Screw that % guy!! WAIT ARADIA IS DEAD?? What did Vriska do bruh
Okay nevermind that sounds like some "Why would Chara do that?" shit. She's complicated and I love that about her. Now I'm not gonna update this again until I actually know all of the story TwT

ADDENDUM (09/19)
Realised I only talked about Dave's abuse and remembered I should also talk about Rose's! My bad. The "Silly Note" had a drop of blood which like isn't very normal, and Rose is canonically suicidal. Mom is neglectful n all, and that all makes Rose really relatable to me! More next blog post I guess. I don't want to spoil anything just yet, as that would be lame, as the kids would call it. (Next blog post will also be 90% Homestuck I am not sorry)
