Spoilers for DELTARUNE and the entire Ace Attorney franchise!

PROLOGUE

My music taste kinda sucked prior to like 2021. I think the only things I listened to, at least according to my memories, were meme songs. Like Sanctuary Guardian from Earthbound. After 2021 started, though, I started being introduced to actually good music. I was a FNF fan and I looked up the creator of a mod I liked, and found Atsuover. I really really liked her OG music, and listened to it on the late nights and early mornings when I was on vacation, while playing Doom Eternal. She was my second exposure to the trans community, too (the first being Chipflake). Fun! I was also a big Scott The Woz fan, and I listened to his videos' OST tons. His Christmas special songs and Borderline Forever stuff was pawesome. I also listened to a lot of videogame soundtracks, since I was, of course, a professional gamer. Obviously.
Fast forward to 2024, when I became awesome, and I was listening to Porter Robinson, Switchfoot, Carpenter Brut, and Will Wood. I'm only gonna go in-detail about the ones that I didn't still listen to by the time 2025 started; also known as the ones that SUCK!! I started listening to Carpenter Brut because of raw's frag movie, "Maniac," and I listened to it a lot throughout the year, as I was, unfortunately, what they call a "Spy Main". Bad stroke of luck. It's whatever. I also listened to quite a bit of femtanyl, since I was still in my "copying someone's personality and likes" era. Now I'm in my "copying a fictional character's personality" era. Yay!

JANUARY & FEBRUARY

I was still in the midst of my Ace Attorney obsession, so I listened to quite a bit of the first trilogy's soundtrack, especially Godot's theme. God(ot), he's cool. I also listened to Switchfoot a lot, who I was introduced to by one of my bestie's statuses. I liked almost every single album they had, which is probably why I continued listening to them for over a year (the aforementioned friend's status was hers in march of 2024). I loved Porter Robinson—especially Nurture and Worlds. his SMILE album was pretty good, and also a DELTARUNE reference, but I dislike certain songs a lot... Unfloortunate. My favorite songs of his were Cheerleader, Get Your Wish, Look At The Sky, Unfold, Sad Machine, Divinity, and, of course, Goodbye To A World. They all just really spoke to me and I loved their writing and use of instruments and melodies. One of my other besties really liked the band Ween, and I found out that I did, too. White Pepper is like, a phenomenal album, it's so fun and catchy. Another bestie's favorite artist was syudou. I was already a big fan of vocaloid, so I greatly enjoyed their music! Stuff like アタシ and 狼煙 were bangers :D

MARCH & APRIL

I was reintroduced to Chappell Roan by seeing one of her speeches in the Grammy's on tumblr in around February, and I got around to relistening to her songs in March, and I found out how good they are. Very! As a budding lesbian, I was of course a big fan of her, especially of Good Luck Babe, Hot To Go, and Pink Pony Club. I loved her live performances, they had so much energy and like, they just felt... different. In a good way. Through this, I found out about her yet-unreleased song, The Subway. It was so good!!!!!! I listened to it like 100 times in a day, it was crazy. Even though I have literally never been in the situation she's in in the song, it was just that cool that I loved it anyway. March was around the time I played the Apollo Justice Trilogy, and I listened to AA4's banging soundtrack. Trucy's (and the Gramarye's) is the best thing ever. Guilty Love is awesome too. Too bad Turnabout Serenade's plot is so damn bad despite its banging characters (Lamiroir). AA5's prosecutor theme, Simon Blackquill's, was really intimidating when I first heard it, and Fulbright's was so silly. They're so yaoi I think! Tragic yaoi...
AA6 sucked. (/j!! I liked the music just not as much as aa4 lol)
In April, I was at school and we had an assembly where they brought orthodontists and optometrists to explain the importants of invisalign and glasses. Don't tell them this, but... I was wearing braces... (#evil) Anyway, when I was talking to one of the dentists, the school's playlist started playing Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter. I was shocked as hell. Playing that?? Here?? In this country?? I went home and listened to it like 80 more times, and became a big fan. Please Please Please was damn good as well. All throughout the year at this point, I kept listening to music I found in spy frag movies, like Remember Summer Days, Without You, and Hot Mess. We should kill raw.

MAY & JUNE

I was knee-deep into The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. I obsessively listened to every single song in TGAA2, especially the Partners themes. Yuujin and Sholmes and the 221B family in general make me want to explode. I hate them so much (lying). Kazuma is also swag. and Iris's speech at the end was heartwrenching. I love TGAAC so much. I also got back into the prime of my DELTARUNE groove (still in it and doubt I'll leave anytime soon), and listened to it and UNDERTALE's soundtracks. They're so good istg. I also saw some really really good Weird Route art using hemlocke springs' Train To Nowhere. Please just look at it it's so cool. I finally finished UNDERTALE YELLOW this month! I fucking loved the True Pacifist ending. I miss Ceroba, Martlet, and Starlo so much. Their tribute to Clover and the part at the end where Clover answered Frisk's call for help... God, it was a banger. Sure, Dalv was a crazy sneak in the credits and the Deep Ruins and early Snowdin were a bit mediocre, everything else that happens in the game makes up for it. A Mother's Love is so so so so good. The part where it references UNDERTALE (song) gives me chills. That fight in general was just goated.
Moving on to June! I discovered two new songs through angst ship animations: Girasol, by Nasa Histoires, and Baby Hotline by James Stauber. They're really great songs, I think! I was rereintroduced to Chappell Roan by watching one of her live performances that she did in Spain, and it was really damn good. I rewatched the live show that I listened to The Subway from, and her performance of "Good Luck, Babe!" was honestly the greatest I've heard, and it regenerated my love for voice acting, and performances in general. It's awesome. And, of course, this was the month DELTARUNE released. And the music was incredible. Raise Up Your Bat, The place where it rained, Black Knife, It's TV Time!, Third Sanctuary, From Now On, Glowing Snow, 12am, Ruder Buster, Neverending Night, Hammer of Justice, SWORD, GLACEIR, BURNING EYES, A DARK ZONE, GUARDIAN, and, most importantly, Kris's last prophecy song. It's so somberr... I love this game. It's so goated.

the promised FRIEND content

I've been looking at a lot of Miketon art lately, but I do not care for Spamton. I'm only there for the hot cat guy. He's so so cool except for the fact he kidnapped two children and led one to their death and another to be permanently traumatized :p But he'll get better!! That was like 4 years ago I promise he's improved.
Also Eram is a girl. I've been doing no-hit attempts of her fight and I realized just how silly she is. Like, Jesus, dude. How does she even Do That. I hope we get to meet her actual self in the future, she's probably so fun. I imagine her to be like Muffet kinda, which is awesome on its own, but she'd also be a bit ragebaitier. As seen in the Sword Route. I hope I'm right because this would be so cool!! Yeah
